Privacy & Cookies Policy

Plain answers about what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Last updated: July 2026.

1. What We Collect

Nation's Blinds ("we," "us") operates nationsblinds.com and three Virginia showrooms. We collect information in a few specific ways:

Information you give us

  • Contact and quote forms: your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, and any project details you include.
  • Phone calls: when you call our numbers, we use call-tracking technology and calls may be recorded and transcribed for quality, training, and to keep accurate records of your project. You'll be treated to the same standard whether or not a call is recorded; if you prefer not to be recorded, tell us at the start of the call.
  • AI visualizer photos: if you use our AI window treatment visualizer, the photo you upload is processed by our AI service provider solely to generate your visualization. Don't include people or sensitive information in photos you upload.
  • In-person and email communications during consultations, quotes, and installations.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics: pages visited, time on site, device and browser type, and general location, via Google Analytics.
  • Session recordings: we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, which can include recordings of scrolling, clicking, and page interaction. Clarity masks sensitive form fields.
  • Advertising data: cookies and pixels from Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) that help us measure our advertising and show relevant ads.

2. How We Use It

  • To respond to your inquiry, schedule consultations, prepare quotes, and complete your project;
  • To measure and improve our website, advertising, and service quality;
  • To send project-related communications (and, only if you've agreed, occasional promotions — you can opt out any time);
  • To meet legal, accounting, and warranty-record obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Ours fall into three groups:

TypeWhat it doesExamples
EssentialMakes the site work: page caching, security, form submission. Can't be switched off without breaking the site.WordPress & caching cookies, Cloudflare security
AnalyticsHelps us understand what's used and what's confusing, so we can improve.Google Analytics (GA4), Microsoft Clarity
AdvertisingMeasures our ads and enables remarketing (showing you our ads after you've visited).Google Ads, Meta Pixel

Call-tracking technology may also use cookies to display the right phone number and connect your web visit to your call.

4. Who We Share Information With

Only service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:

  • Manufacturing partners (Hunter Douglas, Graber, Norman USA) — order details needed to build your treatments and register warranties;
  • Technology providers — website hosting, analytics (Google, Microsoft), advertising platforms (Google, Meta), call tracking and phone systems, our CRM, and our AI visualization provider;
  • Financing partners (e.g., Wells Fargo Home Projects) — only when you apply for financing, and directly with them;
  • Legal and professional advisors when required.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a business transfer.

5. Your Choices

  • Cookies: your browser settings can block or delete cookies; the site's essential functions will still work, though some conveniences won't.
  • Analytics: opt out of Google Analytics with the GA opt-out browser add-on.
  • Advertising: manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings and in your Meta ad preferences, or via aboutads.info.
  • Marketing messages: every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link; or just tell us.
  • Call recording: say so at the start of a call and we'll proceed unrecorded.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live — including under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act — you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, obtain a copy, and opt out of targeted advertising. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below; we'll verify your identity and respond within the time the law requires. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

7. Retention & Security

We keep personal information for as long as needed to serve you and meet legal and warranty obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards — though no internet transmission is ever completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information (like payment card numbers) through the website forms.

Our services are directed to adults; we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes & Contact

We'll update this policy as our practices or the law change, and revise the date at the top. Questions or requests:
